IEEE APS Outstanding Chapter Award
IEEE Turkey Section AP/MTT/EMC/ED Joint Chapter has received the 2024 IEEE AP-S Outstanding Chapter Award.
The chapter has been chaired by Assoc. Prof. Sema Dumanli since 2020 along with chapter Vice-Chair Uzay Bengi, Secretary Ahmet Bilir, Treasurer Mehmet Emre Korkmaz, Officer Ada Yıldırım, Officer Burak Ferhat Özcan, and Officer for Students Anıl Tülü.

BOUNtenna received funding from the XM -TÜBİTAK 2024 Joint Call for R&I
BOUNtenna received funding from the XM - TÜBİTAK 2024 Joint Call for R&I for the research titled “Real-time monitoring of microwave ablation zones for personalised oncological treatment (ABLAZE)”. The project will be coordinated by Sema Dumanli in collaboration with Lourdes Farrugia.

Burak Ferhat Özcan has received IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Eugene F. Knott Memorial Pre-Doctoral Research Grant
Burak Ferhat Özcan has received the IEEE AP-S Eugene F. Knott Memorial Pre-Doctoral Research Grant. He is a graduate researcher at BOUNtenna, working on muscle motion monitoring and bio-hybrid implantable antennas. This is the third F. Knott Grant awarded to BOUNtenna, following Kadircan Gödeneli and Ahmet Bilir.
